SINGAPORE (Mar 20): TT International subsidiary Big Box has received a statutory demand dated Mar 13 from the lawyers of creditor SCB Building Construction.

Shares in the consumer electronics retailer and the operator of Big Box Mall in Jurong East have been suspended from trading since Aug 4 2017 after it went into receivership and is currently undergoing restructuring.

SCB is demanding payment of $5.2 million in respect to a judgment it obtained from the High Court on Jan 25 in respect of its claim against Big Box.
