We found BNW Haus through Qanvast’s recommendations. And met up with our ID Lucas through there. From the get go, Lucas was enthusiastic about getting to know us and understanding our way of living and lifestyle habits. His approach to design felt personalized and not cookie cutter, which appealed greatly to my wife and I. Through the process, he was always ready to go on shopping trips to get and select items and materials for our house, and always ready to put in effort to update and keep our renovation process as hassle free as possible. We’re very much happy with having him as our designer, and though certain issues turned up with regards to sub-contractor issues and minor rectification that needed to be done, we would highly recommend Lucas still.

We engaged Black N White Haus to renovate our newly acquired small apartment. After only one meeting, it was clear that the approach of the interior designer was a great match for us. Jordan took time to listen to our ideas, provide input and expertise on how to achieve our goals and most importantly maximize the use of floor space. After a number of meetings, many WhatsApp chats and some very clever 3D designs, we had the plans for our black and white themed, shophouse inspired apartment. Over the next two months, Jordan managed the entire project, securing contractors, managing suppliers and workers. He accompanied us to select tiles, blinds, light fitting and flooring. Daily photos and chats kept us up to date with the progress of the project. Our new home was finished to perfection, on time and within budget and beyond our expectations. Jade was very professional,understanding of our needs and she was also very thoughtful. She added extra lightings for the kitchen and I’m really pleased with the outcome.? The whole process was smooth, working with her was enjoyable. We would recommend family and friends to engage them.

This is our 2nd time using Pinky from Black & White Haus. After a good experience with her doing my 5 room flat , there was no question to look any further for our matrimonial home which is a two story 4 + 1 bedroom penthouse . She’s accommodating and we are Clients that know what we want so this can get tough for an ID when an ID wants to inject recommendations but we have the our fixed ideas. However with Pinky , she has managed to make us change our perspective on areas of our home. She knew I love white which is what we did for my 1st home , but she advised to go opposite from what we did before and choose an oak nature theme to be in tune with the greenary and nature outside so suggested using Bold Pistachio Green for the Playroom cos of the abundance of trees outside and then playing with softer colours for the cabinets. She softly placed the idea of using a bench to save space instead of having 6 dining chairs although she knew I was persistent with having a set of 6 dining chairs. She tends to use her same suppliers that she trusts and is loyal to them, and thus I used them for the 2nd time , always good to have familiar faces for good pricing . And most importantly, she met the timeline we set off when we wanted to move in by. So happy clients 100%. She’s not only an ID but I can well say, she’s become a friend. We are very happy with how the home looks and so are all two little baby girls , they even refuse to go out on the weekends as they just want to play in their playroom non stop.

A junior inexperienced ID was assigned to our HDB renovations. Had to switch ID in the middle of the renovations due to poor communication skills and relationship management from the ID. Everything was designed and built down to the mm, with no consideration of space and UX for the home owners. A lot of add-on costings were discovered during VO stage. Poor finishing of all tiling work, grout line, carpentry, window works, wall painting and every freaking item installed was not straight and aligned. Flooring had to be redone (removed, re-screened and relay post us living in the apartment), 3 rounds of re-painting of all walls and touch ups to tiling work and grout lines. The boss of this company doesn’t care about customer’s feedback nor listens to us, but only defended every single issue brought up. I’m unsure of their highly ranked status on these various reno platforms. Btw, we spent close to $150,000 with them to get these end results. We have even consulted a lawyer to ensure we have the rights to not pay them for the final payment as we are extremely unsatisfied with them. Instead of hearsay, let the pictures be evidence. Every window installed is flawed, and not touched up nicely, every electrical light point/switch installed is not straight, even our gas stove is crooked, our wardrobe hinges and doors are all glued stained and not cleaned up, every nook and corner is not touched up nicely, our laundry area is tight as hell (space is not planned well at all) and the different gout line colours in our bathrooms. And yes, they have gotten a non-vinyl floor specialist (they were tiling people) to tear away and remove our vinyl flooring in our living room. When the actual vinyl flooring people came, they had to replace a lot more vinyl than expected. This is what $150K should look like? And we were told this is the standard price people are paying to renovate HDB. Worst ID and contractors used for the project. Simply put, they can't handle projects that are on the higher budget spectrum as they use low cost suppliers and vendors to conduct the renovations, and the results are evident.
