HSBC has appointmented Annie Lim as global private banking (GPB) desk head for Singapore, effective Dec 2. As part of HSBC’s strategy to significantly grow its GPB business in Asia, Lim’s appointment underscores the bank’s commitment to building a dedicated team to serve the bank’s ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients.
Lim joins HSBC from Lombard Odier, bringing over 29 years of banking experience in Asia. HSBC says she has deep expertise in wealth management and client advisory, with a proven track record of serving UHNW clients, including family offices.
Her career includes 11 years at Credit Suisse, along with a decade at Standard Chartered and American Express Bank, where she honed her skills in wealth management and bespoke client solutions.
In her role, Lim will focus on growing client relationships in the UHNW segment and family offices. She will report to Hammad Hashmi, market head, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, HSBC GPB.
