Using the 123-foot-high structures to harness the wind should save 3 tons of fuel on average each day

(Aug 15): In a world where many global trading houses have taken a hit from the US-China trade war, a giant food trader in Singapore says the spat has been a boon for them -- at least in grains.

SINGAPORE (June 20): Cargill, the US trader of grain and other commodities, has opened its first innovation centre in Singapore which aims to employ 20 food scientists by end of the year.

SINGAPORE (Oct 27): Japfa, the Indonesia-based supplier of animal protein, saw a sixfold jump in 3Q earnings to US$48 million ($67 million) from US$8 million a year ago on higher sales and margins.  

SINGAPORE (Sept 30): Japfa’s shares have risen 72% since the start of the year as the group continues to strengthen both its upstream and downstream businesses to provide more stable margins for the group.
