Chen Zhihao Samuel is accused of withdrawing funds from his CPF Ordinary Account by artificially incurring trading losses.

The current 4% floor rate is due to expire on December 31 this year.

The announcement, which was made on Friday, also included an increase in interest rates for CPF members.

SINGAPORE (Sept 22): In view of the continuing low interest rate environment, the 4% floor rate for interest earned in Special, Medisave and Retirement accounts (SMRA) have been extended for another year until Dec 31 2018.
