Jurong Island

This is in addition to PacificLight’s existing 830MW CCGT facility and 100MW Fast Start Capacity that's under construction.

The facility will be built on Tembusu Crescent on the island, with the 25,00 sqm (269,097.76 sq ft) plot of land leased for 30 years by JTC Corporation.

The land comes with a 30-year lease commencing from Feb 1, 2025. It measures 25,000 sqm (269,097.76 sq ft) with a maximum gross plot ratio of 2.5.

The three parties will explore scaling VFlowTech’s vanadium redox flow battery technology up to 40 megawatt-hours (MWh), about 25 times its current capacity.

Construction to be undertaken by Mitsubishi Power and Jurong Engineering and is expected to be completed in 1H2026.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Funds will be used to support prototyping and demonstration of their solutions on Jurong Island over the next two years.
