SINGAPORE (Dec 6): Politics is set again dominate headlines next year, says UBS in its House View Year Ahead 2018 report.

However, the Swiss investment bank believes the impact of domestic politics on global markets is overestimated.

“Indeed, trying to trade the events could have been costly – the FTSE 100 lost nearly 9% in the immediate aftermath of the UK’s EU referendum, before recovering within days, and closing the year sharply higher,” reminds UBS.
