SINGAPORE (Mar 14): Acromec has incorporated two companies to diversify into a new sector and a new country.

Acromec will set up Acropower, an 80-20 joint venture (JV) company with Malaysia-based Green Energy Resources, allowing the group to tap on its core expertise and experience to provide sustainable energy solutions to the renewable energy sector.

This move comes on the back of both parties signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in February to explore opportunities in the renewable energy sector. They will commit manpower and other resources to explore opportunities for Acropower to work on projects related to electricity generation using sustainable feedstock, possibly on a build-own-operate basis.
