SINGAPORE (April 4): The Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) on Tuesday concluded the first stage of the General Spectrum Auction (GSA) for Singapore telcos.

Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) won 75MHz spectrum for $563.7 million, StarHub won 60MHz for $349.6 million. M1 won 30MHz for $208 million while TPG Telecom won 10MHz of spectrum for $23.8 million. The bids raised a total of $1.145 billion.

A total of 175MHz of spectrum in the 700MHz, 900 MHz and 2.5GHz spectrum bands, including spectrum to be re-farmed from the provision of 2G services, was made available for allocation in the GSA for the provision of high-speed mobile broadband services using technologies like 4G.
