SINGAPORE (June 13): HSBC equity strategists say they will expect MSCI to give the green light for 5% of the China A-share market to be included in its Emerging Markets (EM) index starting from June 2017.

The US-based index provider is expected to reveal its verdict on Tuesday.

The research team states in a Monday report: “For the RMB, the potential inclusion of China A-shares in the MSCI EM index should symbolise China’s progress in capital liberalisation.”
