SINGAPORE (May 11): Bank of Singapore, the private banking subsidiary of OCBC Bank, has appointed Johan Jooste as its new chief investment officer.

Jooste held leadership positions with RMB Asset Management, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and Bank Julius Baer UK. He was also the chief investment office at private client wealth management firm, Azura Wealth.

He will replace previous CIO Hou Wey Fook, and is responsible for the research and strategy teams at the bank. He will also head the investment committee that steers the bank’s overall investment direction.
