SINGAPORE (July 11): Chiwayland International on Monday says it is jointly developing a mixed-use development comprising a residence and a hotel in Mid-Wilshire, Los Angeles.

The development is the group’s first foray into the US through a 50% owned joint venture with Urban Commons, LLC, and is expected to cost US$69 million ($93 million).

The site currently houses a post office and a carpark, and the group has submitted plans to increase the plot ratio from 3 to 6, bringing the total expected gross floor area of the project to 207,132 sq ft. The group also added that it is confident it will receive approval within the next 12 months.
