SINGAPORE (Nov 1): Yeo Jiawei, the former BSI wealth planner charged in relation to the 1MDB affair, left the Swiss private bank to work for the bank’s client Low Taek Jho, according to Yeo’s former boss at BSI, Kevin Swampillai, in his testimony in court on Tuesday.

Swampillai, the former head of wealth management services, described Yeo as “technically very sound.”

This made Yeo, who worked at BSI between Jan 2010 and June 2014, a very popular specialist who helped the relationship managers to create trust structures and insurance products for their clients.
