SINGAPORE (May 12): Former BSI banker Yeo Jia Wei, currently at the centre of money laundering investigations, had a seventh charge levelled against him today.

He is now also accused of fraudulently signing on 23 Dec 2013 a reference letter addressed to the anti-money laundering and sanctions compliance unit of Citigroup, leading them to believe the letter was signed by BSI SA.

The letter was used to facilitate the transfer of US$11.95 million ($16.4 million) from the BSI bank account of SRC International (Malaysia) Limited to a company owned by Tan Kim Loong.
