Fragrance unit enters top bid for UK property

SINGAPORE (Jan 31): Fragrance Group said on Tuesday that its newly established wholly owned subsidiary, Fragrance UK-Liverpool, has emerged as the top bidder for a property located on Dale Street, Liverpool, in the United Kingdom.

The property, Municipal Buildings, was offered for sale through a public tender by the Liverpool City Council. Under the terms of the tender, the buyer acquires a lease on the property for a term of 250 years, and will be offered an option to purchase after certain works on the property is completed.

It was originally opened in 1866, and is within walking distance to railway stations. It sits on a land site of 4,570 sqm, and has a gross floor area of 11,494 sqm that is spread over three storeys and a basement
