SINGAPORE (Sept 14): HSBC Global Research says investors will be increasingly pushed to adopt greener capital management strategies as the world races towards mitigating the risks from climate change.

“The rationale for taking climate into account in investment decision making is on the rise,” say HSBC’s Zoe Knight, Chan Wai-Shin, and Ashim Paun in a September report on climate risk assessment.

“We think investors will increasingly be pushed to demonstrate how their capital management strategies are aligned with supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy, rather than hindering it,” they add.
