SINGAPORE (Oct 27): ISR Capital has announced the appointment of Chen Tong, one of its new investors, as its non-independent and non-executive director.

Chen, 51, was one of the four new investors that have collectively taken up $12 million worth of new shares at 8.5 cents each. Chen now holds more than 23.5 million shares in the company, or a stake of 1.5%.

Previously an investment firm, ISR Capital is now trying to turn itself into a mining company. It is trying to acquire a 60% stake in a rare earth concession in Madagascar.
