Kwa Chong Seng is SGX new Chairman

SINGAPORE (Aug 29): The Singapore Exchange (SGX) has announced the election of Kwa Chong Seng as Chairman of the Board of Directors, according to a filing with the exchange today.

He succeeds Chew Choon Seng, who will retire on Sept 22 following the conclusion of SGX's Annual General Meeting. Chew joined the Board in December 2004 and has been Chairman since January 2011.

Kwa, the incoming Chairman, was elected to the board in September 2012 and was appointed Lead Independent Director in December 2013.
