SINGAPORE (Oct 14): Here are some factors and stocks that could move the market this Friday morning:

Construction firm Lian Beng Group reported a 60.8% drop in 1Q earnings to $12.7 million from a year ago on lower turnover and lower share of results of associates and JVs. Revenue for 1Q17 ended Aug decreased 47.8% to $70.8 million mainly due to a decrease in revenue generated from the construction segment and ready-mixed concrete segment. Share of results of associates and joint ventures declined by $20.5 million to $8.0 million. Shares of Lian Beng closed 0.5 cent lower at 46.5 cents.

Malaysia-based furniture manufacturer Versalink Holdings posted a 20.5% y-o-y fall in earnings to RM2.6 million ($854,000) in 1H17, compared to earnings of RM3.2 million in the same period last year. This is mainly attributed a drop in other income, which fell 71.4% y-o-y to RM0.4 million on the back of a decrease in foreign exchange gain of approximately RM1.1 million. Revenue for the first half ended 31 Aug 2016 rose 3% y-o-y to RM31.3 million. Versalink’s shares last closed at 16.4 cents on Sept 30.
