SINGAPORE (Nov 15): mm2 Asia, the producer of films and TV and online content, saw a near doubling of 1H17 earnings to $7.8 million on the back of revenue contributions by new acquisition UnUsUaL productions and cinema operations.

Revenue for the half year nearly trebled to $35 million, driven by the additional revenue of $5.2 million from concert and event promoter UnUsUaL and $6.1 million from the cinema operations business. The group’s core business also saw a doubling of revenue to $21.7 million from a year ago.

“Our acquisitions have started to contribute and drive us to the next level.,” says Melvin Ang, chief executive officer, mm2 Asia.
