SINGAPORE (Oct 20): Changi Airport Group has started work on a new terminal building at Seletar Airport that will help ease runway congestion at Changi.

The building, which is sited east of the runway, will have a gross floor area of 9,500 sqm, and is able to handle 700,000 passengers a year.

That is about four times the size and capacity of the current terminal building, a clutch of low black-and-white buildings with a pitched roof that is more typical of an exclusive beach resort.
