SINGAPORE (May 11): SBS Transit, 75% owned by transport operator ComfortDelgro, saw earnings rise 69.5% to $8.1 million in 1Q, driven mainly by increased revenue from its rail segment.

Revenue of $263.5 million in 1Q16 was 6.6% higher from $247.2 million in 1Q15.

Operating costs also increased in the quarter, up 5.0% to $252.4 million from $240.3 million in the corresponding quarter last year.
