SINGAPORE (July 25): From January to June (1H2016), Singapore’s Consumer Price Index for all items in general households, fell 0.9% year-on-year, a further decline from the 0.7% decline seen in 2H2015.

Excluding imputed rentals on owner-occupied accommodation, the CPI fell 0.2% for the current half year period, while it remained unchanged in 2H2015.

During the half year period, all three income groups saw declines in accommodation costs, electricity tariffs and car prices, mitigated by higher food prices.
