SINGAPORE (Aug 3): Singapore’s purchasing managers’ index data released on Wednesday night reaffirmed DBS Bank’s view that the manufacturing sector is not out of the woods yet.

The overall PMI slips to 49.3 in July, from 49.6 in June.

The PMI records its 13th consecutive month of a reading below 50, which indicates contraction.
