SINGAPORE (Dec 5): Singapore enterprises are increasingly turning to open source for cost savings and innovation according to the study Open Source Drives Digital Innovation by Forrester Consulting commissioned by Redhat.

Open source refers to software with its source code that anyone can inspect, modify and enhance.

The study surveyed 455 chief information officers and senior IT decision makers from nine countries across Asia Pacific. 60% of respondents from Singapore saw open source as a cost saving initiative while 40% saw it as a strategic investment.
