SINGAPORE (Sept 28): Singapore has narrowly missed out on the top spot in the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Global Competitiveness Index 2016, coming in second to Switzerland in the study involving 138 countries.

Switzerland has topped the rankings for the eighth consecutive year, WEF said as it published The Global Competitiveness Report 2016-2017 on Wednesday.
