SINGAPORE (June 2): Nomura is maintaining its “buy” rating on Singapore Telecommunications with a target price of $4.25.

After attending the company’s investor day, Nomura says Singtel’s collection of future-oriented business innovations is impressive, but hard to determine for future revenue potential.

For instance, Singtel's so-called FutureNow facility included demonstrations on smart-city technology, “but the revenue potential and how telcos can grow and succeed isn't that clear to us still”, says Nomura.
