SINGAPORE (Jan 4): Sino Grandness Food Industry Group has signed a distribution agreement with WeChat Food to sell its branded Garden Fresh drinks, Grandness canned food and Hao Tian Yuan snacks through the latter’s mobile internet platform.

Chairman and CEO of Sino Grandness Huang Yupeng said in a release that the move would allow the group to tap into the rapid growth in retail e-commerce in China, even as its current revenue comes “predominantly through offline transactions”.

“Our collaboration with Wechat Food is in line with the PRC government initiatives to promote the new economy whereby online and offline business models work together to achieve synergies in cost savings and to generate greater turnover,” Huang added.
