SINGAPORE (May 12): Soup Restaurant’s 1Q earnings almost doubled to $0.7 million from a year ago on the back of lower expenses.

Revenue, however, fell 2.8% to $10.5 million, as two outlets closed down. The first due to refurbishment works, and the second is slated for relocation in 2Q.

Revenue from existing outlets increased by 6% during 1Q.
