SINGAPORE (Sept 28): The overall value of private equity deals in Southeast Asia fell 17% to US$1.56 billion ($2.12 billion) in the first half of 2016 as investors took a more selective approach to investments.

This was on the back of fewer total number of Southeast Asian PE deals completed in 1H16, which fell 36% from a year ago.

The regional overall value drop was 3-percentage-points higher than the 14% on-year decline in total value of investments worldwide.
