STI closes 0.1% lower at 2,813.87

SINGAPORE (Oct 31): Singapore's benchmark stock index closes little changed, surviving weak global cues like several of its Asian peers.

The Straits Times Index closed 2.39 points, or less than 0.1%, lower at 2,813.87.

The index had started the day deeper in the red, but covered some ground later.
