SINGAPORE (Nov 2): The Singapore market closed 0.2% lower as global markets are spooked by a new poll showing Republican candidate Donald Trump leading the US presidential race.

The Straits Times Index ends 6.55 points lower at 2,807.14, following losses of several of its Asian peers. A Trump victory could spark a selloff as the market is overall long on risk assets.

Noble Group closed 1.8% lower at 16.2 cents, while Golden Agri-Resources shed 3.9% to close at 36.5 cents.
