SINGAPORE (Nov 30): The Straits Times Index shrugged off early declines to end Tuesday 0.2% higher at 2,879.14, its sixth straight gain despite losses in offshore and commodities companies.

A handful of companies whose businesses are linked to oil prices suffered Tuesday from worries about the outcome of an OPEC deal.

Among them was Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, which closed 2.4% lower at 83 cents.
