SINGAPORE (Jan 16): Sunpower Group says on Monday evening that its wholly owned subsidiary Sunpower Technology Jiangsu has been awarded a build-own-operate centralised heat transfer oil project worth RMB 338 million ($70 million).

The project was awarded by the Management Committee of the Shandong Changyi Binhai Economic Development Area Liutuan Industrial Park in Changyi City, Shandong province, China.

According to the terms of the concession agreement, Sunpower will jointly build the facility with a local partner, with Sunpower holding a 75% stake in the joint venture company. The group also added that it will make an announcement when the joint venture company is incorporated.
