SINGAPORE (Oct 18): By 2026, nearly 1 in 10 dollars (9.7%) of global investment in the travel & tourism (T&T) industry will be in the Asean region, says the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) based on its latest report entitled ‘Travel & Tourism Investment in Asean’.

This also means that the T&T segment is projected to account for 7.4% of all investment in the Asean region over the next 10 years, totalling to about US$782 billion ($1.1 trillion) – of which 95% will be dominated by Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia.
