SINGAPORE (Aug 1): Here are some stocks that may move the market this Monday morning:

Vessel charterer Vallianz revealed that as at end March it had trade receivables and other receivables owing from Swiber entities amounting to US$61.9 million ($83 million). But Vallainz also had trade payables and other payables owing to Swiber entities of US$58.7 million. The group continues to assure shareholders that while the recent developments at Swiber will have an impact to the group’s business, “the board is of the view that the situation is manageable and its operations are continuing as usual”, it says in a filing to the exchange this morning. Vallianz last traded at 2 cents.

Jardine Strategic Holdings posted a 3% decline in underlying earnings to US$664 million ($891 million) in 1H16, on the back of challenging market conditions. Earnings, which included non-trading items, rose 46% to US$1.1 billion, from the revaluations of its investment properties. Revenue, which includes 100% of revenue from associates and joint ventures, rose 10% to US$34.6 billion, on better results by Jardine Cycle & Carriage and Dairy Farm International, while Hongkong Land’s business remained stable. Shares in Jardine Strategic closed 1.17% higher at US$30.20 on Friday.
