Vard wins luxury cruise shipbuilding contract from Ponant

SINGAPORE (Aug 12): Vard Holdings, a designer and shipbuilder of offshore and specialised vessels, has won a contract with French cruise company Ponant to build four luxury expedition cruise vessels for an undisclosed sum.

Ponant is a subsidiary of Artemis Group and headquartered in Marseille, France.

It was previously announced on March 16 that a Letter of Intent (LoI) was signed between the Vard and Ponant for the construction of the vessels.
