SINGAPORE (Aug 22): Leading companies around the world are increasingly embedding sustainability in their supply chains by increasing collaboration with suppliers as well as making better use of new technology, according to a new report produced by EY in association with the UN Global Compact.  

Based on interviews with sustainability, supply chain and procurement specialists across 12 industry sectors globally, the report explores how companies are embedding sustainability in their supply chains.

Ernst & Young LLP’s K. Sadashiv, managing director, Climate Change and Sustainability Services, says this represents a significant shift from their general ‘risk and compliance’ approach to supply chains in the past, to investing in sustainable supply chains for the business value delivered.
