SINGAPORE (Feb 8): Students and staff at the National University of Singapore (NUS) may soon be able to tap on Airbus Helicopters’ Skyways unmanned air vehicles to transport small parcels between 2-4kg within the campus.

A trial service will be available within the first half of this year, says Airbus. Under the new service, a total of five drones will deliver goods to three designated parcel stations in the university grounds, which roughly add up to the size of 150 football fields.

The group also today announced that it has completed its first trial flight with an autonomous vehicle.
