Boustead Projects to remove external cladding at property after failing SCDF safety standards

SINGAPORE (Sept 26): Boustead Projects says it will remove all cladding from the external walls of its subsidiary’s wholly-owned leasehold property at 10 Tukang Innovation Drive, as instructed by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

The SCDF on Aug 24 informed Boustead Projects’ subsidiary, BP-TN, that the external walls of the building had cladding that used composite panels from the Alubond brand.

SCDF directed BP-TN to send cladding samples from the property for testing to verify that they are compliant with its Fire Code. The samples were sent on Sept 6.
