Water solutions company Memiontec Holdings has been awarded a $56.6 million contract by Singapore's Public Utilities Board (PUB) to install a membrane bioreactor equipment for the Changi Water Reclamation Plant Phase 2, Contract C22C.
The membrane bioreactor equipment will have a treatment capacity of 22 million gallons per day. The works under the contract are scheduled to commence in May 2022 and the contract duration is estimated to be around 23 months.
With the award of this contract, the group's order book stands at approximately $120 million. This contract win is expected to positively contribute to the group's FY2022 ending Dec 31 financial results.
Tay Kiat Seng, executive director and CEO of Memiontec says, "The Contract replaces the recently completed project for the complete replacement of a membrane filtration system at Tuas South Desalination Plant (the largest desalination plant in South East Asia), which has a contract value of $33.2 Million, as the largest single contract secured by the group to date."
Shares in Memiontec closed 6.7% lower on Mar 24 at 76 cents.
