Two clinics under the AsiaMedic group have been granted approval to import and administer the Sinopharm vaccine via the special access route by the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) and Ministry of Health (MOH)

The vaccines will be available for six months starting Sep 30, at the AsiaMedic Wellness Assessment Centre and Complete Healthcare International.
The group says it is not able to quantify the financial effects of this move “as the take-up rate for the vaccine cannot be reasonably be determined as at the date of this announcement [on Sep 30]”.

Shares in AsiaMedic closed down 0.2 cents or 11.8% at 1.5 cents on Sep 30.
