Cohen & Steers Capital Management, Inc., the wholly-owned subsidiary of American investment management company Cohen & Steers, has bought 3.64 million units in Digital Core REIT on Aug 5 for US$2.1 million ($2.8 million) or 58.03 US cents per unit.
The units, which were purchased from the market, brings Cohen & Steers’ stake in the REIT to 8.14% from 7.87% previously.
Cohen & Steers last bought 961,200 units in the REIT for US$580,084 or 60.35 US cents apiece on July 3, bringing its stake then to 7.064% from 6.99%.
On June 27, the investment firm sold 1.81 million units in the REIT for US$1.0 million, or 55.15 US cents for 331,300 of the REIT’s units and 55.56 US cents for another 1.48 million of the REIT’s units. At the time, the firm’s sale lowered its stake to 6.914% from 7.053% previously.
For the 1HFY2024 ended June 30, Digital Core REIT reported a distribution per unit (DPU) of 1.80 US cents, 6.3% lower y-o-y.
Units in Digital Core REIT closed 1 US cent higher or 1.77% up at 57.5 US cents on Aug 7.
