SINGAPORE (Feb 23): Soup Restaurant Group reported 4Q17 earnings more than doubled to $0.95 million compared to $0.41 million in 4Q16.
As a result, FY17 earnings came in at $1.95 million, almost double that of the $1.0 million recorded in FY16.
Revenue for the quarter remained flat at $10.2 million
Other income increased by 31.1% to $0.14 million from $0.11 million a year ago.
During the quarter, the group recorded a gain in changes in inventories of $2,000 compared to a loss of $33,000 last year.
Other expenses was 10.2% lower at $3.44 million, compared to $3.83 million.
The group declared a final cash dividend of 0.5 cents per share.
Looking ahead, Soup Restaurant says it will continue to focus on strengthening its brands. It also plans to invest in online delivery platforms to reach a broader customer base through online delivery by utilising and maximising its current resources.
Meanwhile, the group will continue to manage the operation of restaurants more productively.
Shares in Soup Restaurant closed at 17 cents on Friday.
