Thai Beverage (ThaiBev) has reported earnings of 7.11 billion baht ($285.4 million) for the 2QFY2022 ended March, 20% up y-o-y.

This brings earnings for the 1HFY2022 to 16.32 billion baht, up 13% y-o-y.

Earnings per share (EPS) for the 1HFY2022 increased by 14% y-o-y to 0.65 baht.

For the 1HFY2022, total revenue from sales and services increased by 8.9% y-o-y to 142.94 billion baht, lifted by the 11% y-o-y growth in 2QFY2022 revenue of 65.83 billion baht.

For the 1HFY2022, the group saw higher sales in its spirit, beer, non-alcoholic beverages and food businesses.

Total cost of sales and goods for the half-year period grew by 10% y-o-y to 101.36 billion baht.

1HFY2022 gross profit increased by 5.9% y-o-y to 41.58 billion baht due to the revenue growth.

EBITDA for the period increased 7.5% y-o-y to 28.2 billion baht.

1HFY2022 operating profit increased by 10% y-o-y to 18.08 billion baht.

Net operating profit increased by 9% y-o-y to 19.32 billion baht.

For the 1HFY2022, ThaiBev’s subsidiary, BeerCo, reported earnings of $134 million, up by 5.6% y-o-y.

Sales revenue for the half-year period increased to 6.3% y-o-y to $2.51 billion.

EBITDA for the 1HFY2022 increased by 5.8% y-o-y to $346 million.

Net profit for the period increased by 7.2% y-o-y to $225 million.

As at end-March, ThaiBev’s cash and cash equivalents stood at 15.86 billion baht.

For the period, the group has declared an interim dividend of 0.15 baht, the same as the dividend paid out in 1HFY2021.

The dividend will be paid out on June 10.

Shares in ThaiBev closed 1 cent higher or 1.49% up at 68 cents on May 13.
