Thai Beverage (ThaiBev) has reported earnings of 27.2 billion baht ($1.05 billion) for the FY2024 ended September, down 0.8% y-o-y from the same period last year.

Earnings per share for the period stood at 1.15 baht.

This came on the back of a decrease in earnings from the group’s spirit business and food business, which saw a 5.8% and 72.5% decrease respectively.

The group’s total sales revenue saw a 2.2% y-o-y increase to 340.3 billion baht, due to an increase in sales within ThaiBev’s spirit business and food business, which saw a 4.2% and 5.5% y-o-y increase respectively. That said, this was partially offset by a decrease in sales from the group’s publishing and printing business, which dropped by 6% y-o-y.

Gross profit for FY2024 stood at 103.2 billion baht, up 4.6% y-o-y, following a 0.4% y-o-y increase of gross profit from the group’s spirit business, a 5% y-o-y increase in the beer business, and an 11.1% y-o-y increase in the group’s non-alcoholic beverages business.

Meanwhile, ebitda stood at 61.7 billion baht, due to an increase in ebitda from the group’s beer, non-alcholic beverages, and others business.

As at Sept 30, cash and cash equivalents stood at 32 billion baht.

Shares in ThaiBev closed 0.5 cents lower, or down 0.96%, at 51.5 cents on Nov 21.
