SINGAPORE (Oct 31): CITIC Envirotech has been awarded its largest project to-date in Lazhou City, the capital of Gansu province in China.

The project for wastewater treatment as well as an engineering procurement and construction (EPC) for land remediation is worth RMB 4.6 billion ($942.9 million).

The project involves the investment, upgrading and expansion of an existing conventional 200,000 cubic metres/day municipal wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) into a 400,000 cubic metres/day underground WWTP using the group’s proprietary Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) technology.
