SINGAPORE (June 6): Civmec, the Australia-based construction and engineering services provider, has secured A$90 million ($92.7 million) worth of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract as well as other new construction and maintenance contracts for clients in the metals and minerals market.

The EPC contract was awarded by Alocoa of Australia and Civmec will be undertake the engineering, procurement, delivery, construction, integration, commissioning and performance testing of a filter facility, materials handling system and associated supporting infrastructure at Alcoa’s Pinjarra Alumina Refinery.

Civmec’s solution includes integrating the world’s largest plate and frame filters with the materials handling system. The contract will be executed over the next 18 months by a skilled workforce of more than 200 people.
