SINGAPORE (April 18): EMAS Offshore, the 75.25%-owned subsidiary of Ezra Holdings, has released an updated announcement upon receiving a statutory demand dated April 12 from Hai Jiang 1401, which is now claiming a total of US$195 million ($273 million) for the termination of EMAS’ bareboat charter.  

This comes after factoring in an additional US$0.5 million of interest accrued, says the group in a Tuesday announcement filed to the SGX.  

Hai Jiang 1401 is the vessel-owning unit of ICBC Financial Leasing.
