SINGAPORE (Sept 28): Cosco Shipping International (Singapore) has announced two new contracts to be undertaken by the subsidiaries of its 51%-owned subsidiary, Cosco Shipyard Group. 

Under the first contract, Cosco (Dalian) Shipyard will build two units of multi-purpose pulp vessels with the option to build another similar unit at RMB222 million ($45.3 million) for China’s Cosco Shipping Specialised Carriers, formerly known as Cosco Shipping.

Separately, the group announced that Cosco (Zhoushan) Shipyard had recently entered into a contract with an unnamed European buyer to build four units of 82,000 tons bulk carriers, with two options to build another four similar units.
